This acting name, Peter Appleseed, is borrowed from the main character and protagonist of the movie The Instant Messenger Mission (2011). Peter Tasciotti went on to keep the character name to be utilized as his own public pseudonym, upon the launch of YouTube community and his membership therein.

Beyond probability, he ends up living in residences which somehow have at least one apple tree in the yard outside his window. His biological parents in 2000 moved into a property, which was formerly an entire apple orchard. Strangely though, the appearance of the apple trees at his homes, has no direct connection with adopting his name, Peter Appleseed.

He has fathered two children who are residing separately. Firstborn daughter is Emma Novacich a. k. a. Emmanuelle, born May 28, 1992 in Winder, Georgia, USA. Her mother is Karen Marie.

He's a practicing, professional astrologer, under the name of Ahgamen, which he began studying in 1987 at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. His first published work on two decades of astrological research is due out in 2010. Author Louis Acker was one of his mentors.

The only, singular formal training which Peter Edward Tasciotti ever received in the technical field of film and movie production is a one semester class he attended on Film Animation at the Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY in Autumn 1985.

Peter Tasciotti began his work as a filmmaker and movie director in 1982 with 8mm film and Super-8 film cameras. He organized his classmates and friends on his film, World War Mud. Also during this formative period, he acted in a parody of the TV series "Greatest America Hero".
