In January 2020, Joy was selected as the new official model and face of Aveda, with the brand stating that Joy was chosen because of her bright and healthy image across various fields including music and acting. In February 2020, Joy was invited as a VIP guest of Michael Kors to attend New York Fashion Week, with Vogue calling Joy "one of K-pop’s brightest stars".

On March 20, 2020, Joy released the song "Introduce Me a Good Person" for the soundtrack of the tvN drama Hospital Playlist. On December 29, 2015, Joy won the New Star Award and the Best Couple Award at the 2015 MBC Entertainment Awards.
