For his performance, Serret was honored with the most prestigious award in Colorado. The Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Award for *Best Supporting Actor in a Play. The Denver Post Ovation Awards *Best Supporting Actor in a Play, was also awarded to Serret from the same play. It was for the Best of the Denver Center Theatre Company.

In 2009, He played Tony Stratton, a teenager who is charged with murder in an episode on Law and Order (1990).

His dream came true as his movie debut What Doesn't Kill You (2008) premiered at the Cinema Villiage in Manhattan. The film was directed by Brian Goodman, as Serret portrayed the mischievous Southie native role Young Brian.

This would be the second time he would work with Donnie Wahlberg, the previous time was on the set of What Doesn't Kill You (2008).
