Timeline

2019

One of just 17 Bomber players to dress for all 18 games, Briggs was a regular on the club’s punt and kickoff coverage teams. He saw some action on defense making a pair of defensive tackles to go with 11 stops on special team duty. He had three games with multiple special team tackles.

2018

Briggs most recently showcased his ball carrying prowess in the second quarter of a June 29, 2018 matchup at Tim Horton’s field vs. the Hamilton Tiger Cats. In a beautifully executed play, a brief misdirection feigning towards an Onside Punt (a nuance unique to the Canadian Football League), a direct snap to Briggs was taken by the self-proclaimed "Kelowna King" around the edge of the defense, gaining a first down for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Subsequently Justin Medlock converted a field goal for 3 points and was caught on a live microphone on the sideline giving credit for the large majority of his professional successes, to Briggs himself.

2015

Additionally, in an October 10, 2015 game vs. the BC Lions, Briggs gained 11 yards on a 3rd and 10 fake punt run. After these late game heroics in a pivotal Western Division match up, he had another run in the Banjo Bowl vs. the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
