He is eulogized in the Clash song "Spanish Bombs" (from the album "London Calling") and the Pogues song "Lorca's Novena" (from "Hell's Ditch). Canadian singer/songwriter Leonard Cohen translated one of García Lorca's poems as "Take This Waltz" (from "I'm Your Man") and also named his second child, a daughter Lorca, after him. In 2003 composer Osvaldo Golijov and playwright David Henry Hwang collaborated on a successful opera, "Ainadamar", about García Lorca's last days.
