Timeline

1999

Dorothy was born in Poland, and she moved to New York City with her mother when she was 6 years old. Dorothy always had a passion for entertaining, therefore she took ballet classes over at The School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center. She then started high school over at the infamous Professional Childrens School where she shared classrooms with Julia Stiles, Christina Ricci and Scarlett Johanson to name a few. Dorothy quit ballet immediately, after realizing that it wasn't her true passion. Music was always something that she loved, so she decided to start auditioning just like everybody else for various musical and acting auditions. Dorothy got extremely lucky and landed a great gig!Back in 1999 she was signed to Motown/Universal Records with a girl group called "R-Angels" They were a pop girl group. They toured all over the country performing and doing radio promotions. Their biggest gig was doing the Nickelodeon show with LFO and B*Witched, as well as other acts like Nick Cannon. R-Angels also had great exposure when they performed on Oprah's Oxygen Channel and N' Syncs Charity Basketball game as well as several radio shows. Eventually that group broke up, but it didn't stop Dorothy from pursuing her dream!A few months later, one of her best friends and ex-band mate, Lian, told her about an audition for a TV show called Popstars 2. It was taken more as a chance for fun but it turned out to be a turning point in Dorothy's life. After a lot of hard work through several audition cuts, she made the final group along with some other talented people. They group was called Scene 23. They recorded an album, worked with top producers, made a video and put together an extravagant show. This was all being documented for the show on the WB Network. For Dorothy, reality actually did kick in once they performed on Regis and Kelly which was a dream come true. They also did several shows, such as KTLA's Morning Show and the Mall of America in front of thousands of fans. Due to tragic events of 9/11, the group lost their record label and many things fell apart, counting the group. Dorothy was crushed because she thought that this was her big break. After that, Dorothy decided to go back to school and moved to Chicago. She graduated college in 3 years and had always promised herself that she was going to move to LA once she was done with school.
