At the age of sixteen, Scarlett Antonia and David-Michael created a touring troupe of high school age singers, dancers, and actors; they named their troupe "Young Performers", touring the Colorado Springs and Denver region for two years. During this time, David-Michael was also in residence with Music Theater of the Rockies (MTR) under the direction of Hal Hundley at the Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs, a 2,000+ state of the art theater. During his time with MTR, he played Henry Anderson, the youngest son of Broadway and big screen legend John Raitt (father of singer Bonnie Raitt) in "Shenandoah", was principal dancer in "Annie Get your Gun" starring Metropolitan Opera star Patrice Munsel, a principal dancer in "Mame" starring TV star Gretchen Wyler, the role of Steve Bullnack in "Paint Your Wagon" starring TV and legendary recording artists Earl Wrightson & Lois Hunt, and the role of Charlie Bates (The Artful Dodger's young apprentice and side kick) in "Oliver" starring TV and Broadway star David Canary.
