Kennedy was welcomed into the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005) cast in it's 14th season. She highlights her comedic talent as Danny DeVito and Charlie Day's love interest. On the film front, Cody plays fun-loving Sophie in the upcoming romantic comedy, Mark, Mary, & Some Other People Mark, Mary & Some Other People (2021).

One of her favorite films is Back to the Future (1985).

As a child, her first home was the same apartment on Holloway Drive in West Hollywood that Marilyn Monroe and Shelley Winters shared as roommates in 1951.
