Though she is an Italian citizen, as of 2011, Anne has never been to Italy and does not speak Italian. A third generation American born, Anne had her Italian citizenship passed down from her great grandparents, Filippo and Concetta LaBarbera who immigrated to New York, New York from Palermo, Sicily through Ellis Island in 1905.

In 2010 Anne edited a feature length film.

In December 2008 permission to work on her US passport ran out while Anne was still waiting on Italian passport to be issued. As a result, Anne had to stop working as a runner for BBC Scotland and return to the US. She reentered the UK twice, expecting Italy to issue the passport and was finally told she had to leave the UK. Anne returned to the US in May 2009, her Italian passport was issued in August of 2009.

Whilst studying law, Anne wrote several feature length screen plays for fun, one of which was shortlisted in 2007 for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum.

In 2007 Anne attended a short course in filmmaking at the MET Film School at the famous Ealing Studios in London, England, and in 2009 she attended a short course at the London Film Academy.

Anne began producing short films in 2007 in Edinburgh, Scotland and in 2008 became part of the runners pool at BBC Scotland picking up valuable experience before moving to Austin, Texas in 2009.

Anne remained in the Lansing area, working as a freelance theatrical costume designer until 1999 when she moved to Aberdeen, Scotland. At the University of Aberdeen, Anne earned a Bachelor of Laws in Scots Law and a Master of Laws in Commercial International Law. Anne also spent a year studying at St. Mary's School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, and six weeks studying NAFTA and Mexican Constitutional Law at the Universidad de Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico.

Anne has experience producing independent films in Edinburgh, London, Los Angeles, and New York. Born in Austin, Texas, Anne and her family moved to Fort Worth, Texas six days after her birth, later moving to Nacogdoches, Texas where Anne spent her youth. Anne is a citizen of both the United States and Italy. In 1990, when Anne was age 17, she moved to East Lansing Michigan to attend Michigan State University, studying in the Apparel and Textiles department.

The first camera that Anne owned was a 1981 model Pentax SLR. Anne bought it used in 1986 when she first began to learn photography. Anne abandoned the then hobby of photography when the camera was broken that same year. Anne bought herself a Canon EOS SLR for her 30th birthday and began at that point to relearn the craft.

Anne is good friends with Arthur 'Bam Bam' Latin, the long time drummer for Grammy Award winning Jazz Pianist and Vocalist, Harry Connick Jr. Arthur and Anne attended High School together in Nacogdoches, Texas in the late 1980's.

After watching Star Wars in 1977, five year old Anne made an 8mm fan film with her siblings. The film is believed to be lost.

After watching Snoopy Come Home (1972) as a small child, according to her mother, Anne was so taken in by the story, she cried for two days.

Anne has a great love of classic cars that she inherited from her grandfather on her mother's side who was an automotive mechanic. Cars that she has owned include a 1961 Cadillac, a 1973 Dodge Charger, and a 1982 Volkswagen Scirocco. Despite her enthusiasm for cars, Anne prefers public transportation for just getting around.
