Alex Preston is an Emmy-nominated, award-winning producer, writer and director. Alex's passion for film first emerged as a child. He began film editing at age 10, making home movies and holding a camera whenever he could. His first job as a television editor and camera operator came during Alex's sophomore year of high school, at age 15. He graduated from high school two years later, and earned two degrees in production. 2019 - Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) - Master of Fine Arts, Film and Television 2013 - Mercer University - Bachelor of Arts, Media Studies & TheatreAlex Preston was recognized by the National Academy of Film and Television Sciences (The EMMYs) Southeast at the 2018 Student Production Awards for his direction of the music video Good Girl Winnie Foster.

Alex was honored to be a Juror for the 2018 Atlanta Jewish Film Festival.

Won the Jury Award for his short film "Bully" at WonderRoot's Generally Local, Mostly Independent Film Series 2017, hosted in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

Attended Mercer University for his undergraduate education where he double-majored in Media Studies and Theatre. He graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

His favorite film is Almost Famous (Dreamworks, 2000).

Born to mother Candess Sellers and father Don Preston on August 19, 1991. When his parents separated at a young age, he was raised by single mother Candess Sellers.
