In November 2018, Gupta was roped in to star opposite Gautam Rode as the female lead Archana, in Star Bharat's Kaal Bhairav Rahasya 2. In March 2020, she was cast as Kavya, an antagonist in Director's Kut Productions's Anupamaa via Star Plus.

In October 2016, Gupta was cast as Sanjana Singhal in the Star Plus drama Pardes Mein Hai Meraa Dil, an inspiration of the 1997 film Pardes. She left her role five months later, due to creative issues. She next landed Ishqbaaaz with the same channel and was seen as Ragini Sparsh Malhotra. She entered the series along with Ankit Raaj.

Post Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, Gupta failed to garner the same limelight and popularity due to which she was not noticed in her next ventures, though a participation in Zara Nachke Dikha where her team won was well received in exception. Her limelight and a good bank of roles resumed when the popular backer Gul Khan signed her to play a negative role in the daily TV soap, Qubool Hai via Zee TV from 2014, that was unexpectedly praised. Qubool Hai wrapped up in January 2016.

The first offer to act in television for Gupta came in the ending time of 2007 by Ekta Kapoor, to star as Heer Maan in the latter's production Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, to which she agreed.
