On March 5, 2019, the Steelers placed an original round tender on Grimble. He was placed on injured reserve on September 25, 2019, with a calf injury. He was released from injured reserve with an injury settlement on October 4, 2019.
On December 30, 2019, Grimble signed a reserve/future contract with the Indianapolis Colts.

As a junior in 2008, he had 13 receptions for 310 yards (23.8 avg.) with 4 touchdowns. He was selected to play in the 2010 Under Armour All-America Game in St. Petersburg, Florida.
