On November 23, 2017, McGough signed a minor league contract with the Colorado Rockies. He was assigned to AAA Albuquerque Isotopes for the 2018 season. He elected free agency on November 3, 2018. He resigned a minor league deal on November 9, 2018. McGough was later released on December 18, 2018.
