His career highlight was a fourth-place finish in the C-1 500 m event at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He also won two silver medals in the C-4 1000 m event at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in 2002 and 2003. He was a silver medalist in the C-2 500 m event at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg.
