He graduated with a degree in Visual Effects from the Art Institute of California - Los Angeles in 2011. He developed an early interest in visual effects in high school after a friend's introduction to Adobe Photoshop with Imageready.

He credits the development of his early short film Amanda & The Guardian (2011) as a major component to success. While he developed his early skills at his first professional experience as a Stereoscopic Compositor at Legend 3D, he was given the opportunity to uniquely hone them as Visual Effects Generalist at CoSA VFX where he closely worked under the mentorship of fellow Emmy-Award Winning peers, Art Director Sina San and Compositing Supervisor Alex Gitler.


With extended family's invitation, he moved to New South Wales, Australia in 2003 with the hope of applying to the Australian Film, Television and Radio School before, ultimately, immigrating to the United States in the summer of 2004 to pursue higher education.


He later bought his first camera, an Acer Digital Camera 300, which he used to take footage of family and friends in his room to emulate effects from his favorite television shows and movies such as The WB's Charmed (1998) and the X-Men (2000) films. During film school he was involved in multi-departmental collaborations where he often functioned as a visual effects supervisor for Video Production student short films in exchange for having them crew up for his directorial projects.
