Has a 5" scar on her left thigh after she was bitten by a poisonous spider whilst living in a flat in Teignmouth, Devon in 2004. She was hospitalised and had emergency surgery to remove the tennis-ball sized lump of infected material which resulted. The surgery cut right through the muscle, just missing the bone. With the muscle severed she had to teach herself how to walk again.
