2019

As one of the youngest legislators in seat, at 36 years of age, he was elected as Chairman for the Young Parliamentarian's Forum (YPF) in October 2019 . In his capacity as Chairman for the YPF, he has also expressed his opposition to bills he considers harmful such as the Hate Speech Bill and the Social Media Bill. Barely three months in office, Hon Kabir Ibrahim Tukura, organised a constituency town hall meeting to articulate the needs of his people towards forming a legislative agenda.

Kabir Tukura Ibrahim is an advocate for youth involvement in politics, women empowerment and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In his first 100 days in office, in 2019, he commemorated the International Day of the Girl Child by executing a social project which led to the distribution of sanitary pads and back-to-school materials for 4000 girls within his constituency. He is also the founder and sponsor of the Kabir Tukura Jamb/University Scholarship Scheme which procures JAMB registration forms for students from the Zuru constituency and sponsors successful candidates.

Kabir Tukura Ibrahim started his political career at the Usman Danfodiyo University where he served as the Department President for a student association. Upon completion of his service year at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2006, Kabir Tukura Ibrahim was retained by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) in Kaduna, where he had served. In October 2009, he joined the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as an official of the Nigerian Intelligence and Financial Crimes Unit (NFIU) from 2014 - 2016. His journey as a Nigerian legislator, however, began in 2019 when he was elected by his constituency to represent them at the Federal House of Representatives in February 2019.

He attended the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, from 2001 to 2005, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in English language. In his final year at the University, he served as the President for the Modern European Languages, Literary and Linguistics Students Association.

1999

A strong advocate for youth involvement and participation in politics, his contributions, in office as a representative of the Zuru/Fakai/Danko-Wasagu/Sakaba Federal Constituency, includes sponsoring a bill for the creation of a National Youth Committee and pushing for the constitutional amendment of Sections 171 & 208 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as Amended, to include the appointment of young people, women and people living with disabilities into governmental offices.

Born in Kaduna, to Alhaji Ibrahim Tukura and Hajiya Salamatu Tukura, Kabir Tukura Ibrahim obtained his First School Leaving Certificate from the Federal Staff Primary School, Sokoto, in 1994, and his Senior School Leaving Certificate from the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri, Kebbi, in 2000.
