Jon Steel (born 14 March 1980), also known by the nicknames of "Steely" and "Old Boy", is a former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2001s, he played in the Super League for Hull Kingston Rovers, and in the Championship for Featherstone Rovers. He is a former rugby union player who represented Scotland at youth level before switching codes in 2005. Following Hull Kingston Rovers' promotion, Steel was expected to play a big part in their first Super League season but was unfortunate to suffer a badly broken leg after only a handful of games and was ruled out for most of the year as a result.
