In February 2017, Runyon became one of 5 people to run an ultra marathon on every continent.

After seeing success in the fitness space, Runyon also launched several websites and apps based on the paleo diet. In 2016, Runyon spun these apps & websites out into a new business named Paleo Meal Plans LLC in order to deliver meal plans, and other digital products in the paleo nutrition space.. As of July 2019, the business was renamed to "Ultimate Meal Plans" and expanded to offer products in the keto, banting, and AIP diet space as well.

In 2014, Runyon announced he would be running 7 ultra marathons on 7 continents in order to help build 7 schools with Pencils of Promise.

Runyon founded Impossible Ventures in 2012 and has developed multiple brands under the Impossible umbrella. In 2016, he later renamed the company to Impossible X LLC.
