Timeline

1997

As a native of Los Angeles, Jill Naumann considers film making to be an integral part of her cultural heritage. Her love for the Arts began at an early age with her enrollment at the American Academy of Performing Arts, studying amongst other well-known talents, Diane Lane and Helen Hunt, under the instruction of Francis Lederer. Jill doesn't remember a time when she wasn't studying production from all angles even while running her own business. The focal point of her interest in production converged with locations when an acquaintance brought a scouting crew to her residence. Before they left, Jill had secured an interview for employment, a moterhome rental contract, and offered two more location possibilities to go with the deal. Even though her residence was not chosen, Jill was. Thus a career was born, and she became Location Manager for that very project - a pilot for a re-enactment of real-life crime stories starring Marriette Hartley. Jill has just begun the second decade of her service to the film industry within the location arena. She credits her diverse and distinctive film experience to location mentors Jerry Jaffe, Steve Dayan, and Michael Burmeister. The 1997 and 1998 COLA Award winning Location Managers, in the "Feature" category, both thanked Jill for her contributions as their assistant.
