In April 2019, he was named in Pakistan's squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. He was man of the match, in his 2nd game of the tournament, against South Africa for his 89 off 59.

He has represented Sialkot Stallions, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited cricket team, Sialkot cricket team and Peshawar Zalmi. He currently plays for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. He made his international debut for the Pakistan cricket team in July 2013. In August 2018, he was one of thirty-three players to be awarded a central contract for the 2018–19 season by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
