German Gorbuntsov's name is closely connected with the 2014 murder of the famous billionaire Alexander Mineev, the owner of the company “Party”. The murder occurred shortly after Mineev contacted law enforcement agencies regarding the seizure of the ultimate beneficiary's assets of all of its businesses, Crazy Dragon International Limited. It turned out that six weeks before the murder of Alexander Mineev, German Gorbuntsov began the process of changing the beneficiary from Crazy Dragon to FORUS Corporation, which is based in Panama, using fraudulent schemes.

2012

German Gorbuntsov survived an unsuccessful attempt on his life in March 2012 in central London.

On March 20, 2012, near his house in London where, by that time Gorbuntsov had lived for several years, an unknown man shot the banker with automatic weapons several times and then disappeared. Gorbuntsov, who was seriously injured, was hospitalized in critical condition and put into an artificial coma, which he was in until April 1.
