Before he began his movie career in 1982-3 as Technical Consultant on "Never say never again', BGJA had won conceptual, artistic,staging and design competitions since 1969 for major cultural and corporate multi-media events in the UK, Europe, South America and Australia.

By the time he entered Elstree Film Studios in 1982, he had spent twenty years lecturing and broadcasting about international space programs on UK radio stations including BBC Radio 2 and at government, commercial and academic and facility. These included schools, colleges and Oxford University's Post-Graduate School of Engineering where he lectured on the design and engineering of the NASA Space Shuttle. Guy's presentations were recognized by the United States Information Service, the US Embassy in London and by NASA and the USAF where he became a special guest visitor to their facilities including Washington, Los Angeles, Langley, Edwards Air Force Base, Downey, Houston, Kennedy Space Center and Travis Air Force base where he flew the Gigantic C5A Galaxy full motion simulator. During this period, guy won a lottery that paid for him to obtain his pilot's license at Guernsey in the Channel Islands.

First published under his partial name of Guy Alimo in 1981 by Corgi Books, he describes in 460 pages the history of super-power conflict and the attempt by the Soviet Union to destroy Israel, culminating in a fight to the death between a US/Israeli astronaut commanding the Space Shuttle and a Soviet /Palestinian cosmonaut flying Salyut 7. Because of Guy's credentials and authenticity, General George Keegan, former Head of USAF Space Intelligence, invited him to his home and agreed with much of what he predicted about Soviet espionage and secret weapons. Twenty years after "The Hunting of Salyut 7" was first published and ten years after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russian Space Scientists revealed a super-secret photo of their huge Beam Weapon mounted to the back of their Buran version of the Space Shuttle, ready for launch from Tyuratam Cosmodrome! Guy's prediction had been proved right. Incidentally, he was also interviewed at the Israeli Embassy in London about his prediction of their nuclear capabilities!Corgi Books' advance for his first three novels, was enough for Guy to buy his first private plane, a Rallye Minerve, that he based at RAF Biggin Hill in Kent, home of Churchill's "Few".

Almost on the same day that the NASA Space Shuttle first launched itself into orbit in 1981, "The Hunting of Salyut 7" was published in the UK featuring the Shuttle on its dramatic cover. Guy was interviewed live on the BBC Television evening News about his uncanny ability to predict its final countdown so accurately and how he had so much access to secret programs. In Marathon, Florida, Guy wrote his second novel "Cruise", featuring a former Colonel in Britain's elite Special Air Service, the SAS, who fights to protect a Stone Age Amazon tribe from the deadly implications of a lost USAF Cruise missile landing by parachute in their jungle. Secretly tracked by the Soviets, the weapon contains extraordinary technology that must be retrieved by a ruthless team of KGB, GRU and Spetznaz who will destroy any living thing in their way. "Cruise" is based on an incredible but real event that Guy researched for decades. At the "Brown Derby" in Hollywood, Guy described his forthcoming novel to Desmond Mclory, brother of the writer of the James Bond movie "Thunderball" who introduced Guy to Colonel David Stirling, legendary founder of the SAS. On his return to London, Guy and David Stirling met and formed Television International Enterprises drawing on David Stirling's extensive Television and Broadcasting operations. This continued through Guy's movie work at Elstree, Shepperton and Pinewood Studios in England and Fot Studios in Hungary during the last decade of the Cold War. Underlying their business partnership, Guy and David shared lifelong concerns about the danger posed by the Soviets to the NATO Alliance.

While covering the 1975 Apollo-Soyuz mission that linked up US astronauts and Soviet cosmonauts in Earth orbit, Guy became one of the very last people to emerge from the Houston Command Module simulator before it was unplugged, ending the Apollo Program. Guy continued to visit NASA and Rockwell facilities to report on the Space Shuttle during its design, development and construction and was one of the first European non-astronauts to fly the Flight development simulator at Downey, California. Encouraged by audience reactions to his Space and Military technology broadcasts and lectures, Guy wrote his first novel, "The Hunting of Salyut 7".

By 1965, Guy invented System 6, the world's first programmable carbon fiber structural methodology that he presented in drawn and model form at the AA School. He won a provisional patent recognized by the UK Government National Research Development Corporation.

In 1964, he also won the first award in School history by Dean/Principal Bill Allen to set his remaining years of academic courses based on his Thesis: "Towards the Concept of Organic Architecture". Integral to these inventions, were his estimations that it would take many decades for his work to be commercially available. Integral to Guy's creative work, is his passion for aviation and space ever since he built model aircraft and rockets and first flew in 43F Squadron of the Royal Air Force Training Corps.

After winning a full five year academic scholarship in 1962 to the prestigious Architectural Association School of Architecture, London, where the visiting Tutor was the legendary Richard Buckminster Fuller, Guy began lecturing on the application of advanced technologies to architectural and building projects while also working at the UK Government Research and Development Group in Whitehall.
