The following year, Feud also earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Miniseries or Television Film nomination. Woodall was eventually chosen by Murphy to become president of Ryan Murphy Productions and work as an executive producer on his Netflix television series Hollywood.

After graduating from the University of Colorado Boulder, Woodall was hired as a production assistant at Ryan Murphy's show Nip/Tuck, who later promoted her to producer. After Nip/Tuck concluded, Woodall stayed with Murphy as a producer on his newly created television shows Glee, American Horror Story: Asylum, American Horror Story: Hotel and American Horror Story: Coven. The American Horror Story series' she produced earned her Golden Globe and Emmy nominations. By 2016, she was producing The People v. O. J.
